Our Approach

Less clutter.
Better rituals.

Most routines grow by accident — a shelf of half-used bottles bought on a promise. Noorva is built the other way around: a small collection of everyday essentials, each one designed around a clear purpose, a beautiful experience, and ingredients chosen with intention.

We'd rather make three things properly than thirty things quickly.

Noorva started from a simple frustration: beauty routines that had become complicated without becoming better. Ten steps, twenty ingredients lists, and very little clarity about what any of it was actually doing.

So we set a constraint. A product only earns a place in the Noorva collection if it does one job noticeably well, if it feels good enough to use every single day, and if we can explain exactly why every ingredient is in the bottle.

"If we can't explain why an ingredient is in the formula, it doesn't go in the formula."

That constraint is why our range is small, why our active percentages are printed on the front, and why we spend longer on texture and scent than most brands our size. A product you don't enjoy using is a product you won't use — and skincare only works when it's used consistently.

Everything we make is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without the filler ingredients that pad out a label without doing anything for your skin or hair.

What guides us

Six principles behind every formula

These aren't marketing lines. They're the checklist a formula has to pass before it becomes a Noorva product.

01

Actives at levels that matter

An ingredient listed at a trace amount is decoration. Our Vitamin C Serum is built around 2% Natural Vitamin C, 1% Ferulic Acid, and 1% Sea-Buckthorn — percentages we publish on the front of the bottle, not bury in the small print.

02

One job, done noticeably well

Every product answers a single question: brighten the skin, refresh the roots, elevate the cleanse. Nothing tries to be a do-everything miracle, because products that promise everything usually deliver very little.

03

Gentle enough for daily use

Results come from consistency, not intensity. We formulate at strengths you can use every morning without irritation, buffering actives with hydrating and soothing ingredients rather than pushing for the highest number on the label.

04

Texture and scent are part of the formula

How something feels on the skin and how it smells in the shower are not afterthoughts — they're the reason a routine sticks. We prototype texture as rigorously as we prototype actives.

05

Honest claims, plainly worded

We describe what a product does and what it doesn't. No clinical-sounding language designed to imply more than the evidence supports, and no before-and-afters that owe more to lighting than to skincare.

06

Vegan and cruelty-free, without exception

No animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing at any stage, and no sourcing from suppliers who can't confirm the same. This isn't a product line — it's how the whole brand operates.

How a Noorva product is made

From an unmet need to your shelf

Four stages, and a formula can be sent back to the start at any one of them.

01

Identify the gap

We only start a formula when there's something genuinely missing from an everyday routine — not because a category looks commercially attractive.

02

Build the shortlist

Each candidate ingredient has to justify its place: what it does, at what concentration it does it, and how it behaves alongside everything else in the bottle.

03

Prototype and refine

Rounds of testing on stability, texture, absorption, and scent. If a version performs but feels unpleasant to use, it goes back — every time.

04

Real-world wear

Final formulas are lived with over weeks, in real routines, before anything is released. Feedback on how it feels in week six matters as much as day one.

Our ingredient standards

What goes in — and what never does

A short, specific list is more useful than a long, vague promise.

Always in

  • Actives at published percentages — so you can compare us honestly against anything else on your shelf.
  • Antioxidant partners that work together — ferulic acid is included to support and stabilise vitamin C, not to lengthen the label.
  • Botanicals with a real role — sea-buckthorn, quince fruit extract, and ginger are there for what they contribute, not for the photograph.
  • Hydrating, skin-comforting bases — betaine and humectants that keep daily use comfortable.
  • Vegan, cruelty-free sourcing — verified with every supplier we work with.

Never in

  • Trace-level "fairy dusting" — ingredients added in amounts too small to do anything.
  • Animal-derived ingredients — in any product, at any point in the supply chain.
  • Animal testing — not by us, not by our manufacturers, not by anyone on our behalf.
  • Harsh sulphate cleansers in our wash, which strip the skin instead of caring for it.
  • Aerosol propellants — our dry shampoo is a gas-free pump mist for exactly this reason.
  • Claims we can't stand behind — if we can't say it plainly, we don't say it.
The approach, applied

Three essentials. One ritual.

Here's how those principles show up in what's actually in the bottle.

Our promise to you

The parts that aren't about formulas

How we treat the rest of the experience matters just as much as what's in the bottle.

Vegan & cruelty-free

No animal-derived ingredients and no animal testing, anywhere in our supply chain.

Thoughtful packaging

Sized to finish, designed to be recycled, and shipped without unnecessary filler.

14-day guarantee

If a product isn't right for you, tell us within 14 days and we'll make it right.

Real answers

Ask us anything about a formula and you'll get a specific answer, not a script.

Questions about the approach

The things people actually ask

Why is the range so small?

Because a small range is the point. Every additional product dilutes the attention each formula gets, and adds a decision you have to make every morning. We'd rather release nothing in a year than release something that doesn't clearly earn a place in your routine.

Why 2% Vitamin C and not 20%?

Higher isn't automatically better — it's often just harsher. We formulate at a level that's well tolerated for daily use and pair it with ferulic acid and sea-buckthorn so the whole system works together. Consistency over twelve weeks beats intensity over three days.

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Our formulas are built to be gentle enough for daily use and are free from harsh sulphates. That said, sensitivity is individual — we always suggest patch-testing a new product on a small area first, and our 14-day guarantee covers you if it doesn't agree with your skin.

What does "cruelty-free" mean for Noorva specifically?

No animal testing by us, by our manufacturing partners, or by any third party acting on our behalf — at any stage, including finished-product and ingredient testing. We also don't sell into markets that would require animal testing as a condition of entry.

How should I use the three products together?

Wash in the shower, serum on clean skin in the morning, dry shampoo whenever your roots need a reset. They're designed to work as a routine but each one stands on its own — start with whichever solves the thing bothering you most.
